In 1992, its capacity was increased to 275 by adding 2 floating docks. It was privatized on 01.12.1997 and rented by Karada Turizm İşletmeleri A.Ş. for 49 years and its capacity was increased to 375 by adding one more pontoon.
Continuing its investments, Milta Bodrum Marina has increased its mooring capacity at sea to 425 by holding the Marine Tourism Facilities Tourism Operation Certificate.
Milta Bodrum Marina, a Doğan Holding subsidiary, is among the most prestigious marinas in the Aegean and Mediterranean. It is an important brand in the international platform with its different service understanding.
Bodrum is the most popular holiday resort on Turkey’s Aegean coast. It is located at the meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean. Cruising and diving is a privilege in the crystal clear turquoise waters of the pristine coves around Bodrum. Bodrum, Turkey’s most popular holiday destination, is the only center for sailing, diving, culture and entertainment.
Milta Bodrum Marina is an inner city marina with the colorful world of Bodrum on one side and the paradise coves of the Aegean on the other, and boats of all sizes, from the smallest to superyachts, can be safely accommodated here. It serves with a volunteer lifesaving team at sea and is the only marina that has a sea ambulance with the motto of “Safety First”.
Established in 1976, this Marina was completely renovated in 1999, after it was acquired by Doğan Şirketler Grubu Holding AŞ, one of Turkey’s most established companies, in 1997, and continues to be structured on a sustainable basis with 25 years of experience and success in the marina sector.
While providing full-fledged technical service, 24/7 security and health services for 425 yachts at sea and 50 yachts on land, its bazaar brings together quality food and beverage venues, entertainment & social venues, and internationally distinguished brands, adding a different color to Bodrum.
Milta Bodrum Marina also hosts many races such as Bodrum International Sporting Fishing Tournaments and the races organized by the Bodrum Open Sea Sailing Club ‘BAYK’, which was established in the Marina in 2001.
In the restored antique Ottoman Shipyard District Governorate Art Gallery located in the marina, MARINART exhibitions continue to be held every year since 2005, with the participation of many local and foreign artists with their works in different art genres. Under the shadow of the 160-year-old historical lighthouse, with its panoramic viewpoint, it continues to make a difference with its private resting areas for its guests, which dominate both the sea, the land and the port entrance.
Milta Bodrum Marina is the winner of the sustainable International Blue Flag, 5 International Gold Anchor awards and the Best Environmental Awareness award due to its high standards and the importance it attaches to the environment.
